Visio Step by Step author Scott Helmers recently collaborated with Microsoft and two other Visio MVPs to create The MVP Sessions -- a series of five-to-seven-minute videos about key topics in Visio 2010. Most videos include sample diagrams that you can download and use to follow along with the instructors.
Please note that although the videos were created for Visio 2010, the majority of the contect also applies to Visio 2013 and Visio 2016.

Session 1: Get started with the right template An overview of the ways the Visio helps you move from a blank page to a finished diagram. See the differences among the three editions of Visio 2010: Standard, Professional and Premium. Download
Session 2: Find and navigate key features A guided tour through the Visio 2010 backstage view and the ribbon, including built-in tabs, add-in tabs, and contextual tabs. Download
Session 4: Align and distribute shapes Improve the look of your diagrams with spacing and alignment options. Use Auto Align & Space to quickly adjust the positions of all objects and take advantage of Live Preview to see changes before you commit to them. Download
Session 15: Create and use hyperlinks Enhance the value your Visio diagrams by adding hyperlinks that point to other pages in your drawings, to external web pages, and even to specific sections of document files. You can even add multiple hyperlinks to the same shape (for example, connecting a server shape to a rack diagram and to its online support page). Download
Session 16: Build and apply reports from shape data This video introduces reports, such as a shape inventory for a circuit diagram or an asset report for a space plan diagram. It shows that Visio can automatically build a web page report or embed report information as a dynamic shape right in the diagram.
